5 xp is not a high multiplier. I may only make it to 80. I don't see myself getting to 100 till gearxmas

Actually Ravin1337, it is exclusive to vets only. They changed it. Everyone else btw there will be more xp events after gow3 release.

By the way Sean, the Golden Gnasher isn't exclusive to Vets. People who play GoW3 in the first week get it.

Level 96. Just been slowly ranking up on the 2x for like FOREVER. 700k to go roughly. Looks like I will get to level 100 afterall. (Some of us can't afford to spend 24-7 playing games) xp events for the win

Ok Sean and what's ur point? I know it is very rewarding but I needto clarify if there truly is an XP event bc I AMGOING TO GET THOSE GOLDEN GUNS U HEAR ME?! ok so I am gonna have to play everyweekend until I get that damn achievement! Peace.

A couple of things.
1. I understand the frustration of those who have put in so many hours of gameplay and had their rank reset. As there hasn't been anyway to resolve this (as far as I know) XP weekends are vital.
2. I understand the accomplishment of those who have reached 100 or are nearly there and the satisfaction of getting the 'Veteran' achievement. But the annoyance that XP weekends with high multipliers takes away from the effort they may have put in. Thus making the achievement less exclusive and less rewarding.
3. I understand the desire for a large number of Gears players to want to have the complete set of Golden Weapons for Gow3, including the Golden Gnasher (exclusive to players with rank 100).
It seems that most people want larger XP multipliers just for the Golden Skins. There hasn't been this much anger over any previous XP events that I have known. Before people would just say I won't bother playing, but now something is on offer, views have changed.
